Dundalk missing Burns and Daly for Derry trip

Dundalk travel to the Brandywell this evening for their first competitive match with Derry City since March 2002, kick-off 7.45pm.
Sean Connor’s side travel without Liam Burns and Michael Daly who are both struggling with hamstring injuries.
Doubts remain over previous hamstring injury victims Declan O’Brien and Thomas Heary, while Shaun Kelly is also doubtful with an ankle injury.
Defender Simon Kelly returns to the squad after his ban following the Cork City match.
Michael Collins is still unavailable for selection, while Dwight Barnett and Dundalk have agreed a mutual contract cancellation.
Connor said: “A visit to the Brandywell is always one of the toughest games of the season. The players are all looking forward to it as it is one of the fixtures that provides it’s own motivation.
“I don’t believe that our performances have been getting the results we deserve in recent weeks. We need to find a level of consistency and cut out the individual errors.”
Derry keeper Gerard Doherty returns to the side after recovering from a knee injury, although boss Stephen Kenny may have to plan without centre-half Clive Delaney as he is struggling with a hip injury.
Kenny said: "We are playing well and are second in the table, two points behind Bohemians.
"We are kicking ourselves a bit because we should have beaten Bray last week but they came back and got an equaliser.”
