Dublin have confirmed that Ger Brennan will not be available to play this Sunday in their All-Ireland SFC semi-final clash with Donegal.
The centre-back underwent ankle surgery earlier this year and has yet to appear in the championship this season.
The St Vincent’s clubman had been back training with the county, but according to Blues boss Jim Gavin had suffered a minor recurrence of his ankle problem.
“[Ger] had a little bit of a setback last week. It won’t be too long before he’s back in training again.”
“He just irritated his ankle again unfortunately,” continued Gavin.
“He was back kicking football with us, he was back playing and he irritated it again so it has been on ice for the last couple of days. Unfortunately he’s going to miss selection for that game.”
