Dublin's 33-year wait for a Leinster Under-21 hurling title will continue after Eoin Larkin inspired Kilkenny to a 0-17 to 1-10 final win tonight in Carlow.

The Cats' senior centre forward Eoin Larkin, a sub on last year's All-Ireland Under-21 winning side, drilled over nine points (0-6f, 1 '65) and proved a constant menace to the Dubs defence.

Eoin Reid pointed twice in the opening minute to single Kilkenny's intent, but gradually Dublin played their way into contention.

A Tim Sweeney penalty, for a foul on fellow senior panelist Peadar Carton, brought them back to within a point - 1-5 to 0-9.

A point from midfielder Michael Carton then had the Dubs level.

Yet Larkin, who, three minutes into injury-time, pointed the final score from a '65, and the Adrian Finan-managed Cats pulled away to garner the county's third straight provincial triumph at this level.
