Orna Toolan, vendor security lead (moderator)
Orna is a native of Dublin and a seasoned vendor security risk professional with a background in Financial Services and Health care before joining Pinterest in 2020. Passionate about process improvement, raising awareness of security risk and getting to know people.
Orna has a BA in Economics & Nua – Ghaeilge from University College Dublin, and is CISA-certified. Outside of cyber security, Orna enjoys barbershop and choral singing, playing tag rugby, and trying new food.
Orna leads the Vendor Security Program at Pinterest and is a part of the Pinfosec Leadership Team. She is a member of the Pinterest Change Network (an employee-wide forum focused on developing Pinterest’s culture) and the Values’ working team.
Andy Steingruebl, chief security officer
Andy Steingruebl, Pinterest’s chief security officer, is an information security professional with more than 25 years experience and knowledge.
He has extensive experience in most areas of security management and architecture, including policy, compliance, communication, infrastructure and incident response. Andy is an excellent communicator with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organisation, customers, policy makers and regulators.
Barry Carroll, engineering manager, Growth Platform
Hi, I’m Barry and I’m from Ireland. My first job was coding the metaverse (before we called it that), and since then I’ve worked in telecoms, travel, CRM and now Pinterest! I look after the Growth Platform team, where we build the tools to provide a top-class platform to enable both technical and non-technical teams to elevate their growth potential.
Dave Burgess, head of Data Engineering
Dr Dave Burgess, the head of Data Engineering at Pinterest, is an engineering executive with 20+ years experience building top-performing teams with innovative and collaborative cultures, and delivering intuitive, scalable and highly available products.
Prior to Pinterest, Dave was head of Data Platforms at Twilio, CTO at startups, and chief architect of advertising solutions at Yahoo!. He has a doctorate from Oxford University.
Keith Regier, engineering manager, Big Data and Analytics Platform
Keith has 20 years experience building software and teams to solve tough problems and delight customers.
