Environmental Responsibility
The Irish Steam Preservation Society is committed to sustainability. In 2023, the Society became the first event in Ireland to use a carbon-neutral biofuel, crafted and supplied by Arigna Fuels, for their steam engines. This innovative approach sets an example for other events, balancing heritage preservation with environmental protection.
Supporting Local Charities
The rally also plays a significant role in supporting the local community. Funds raised from the event benefit local charities such as Laois Hospice, Stradbally Meals on Wheels, and Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, a charity supporting families of seriously ill children. Attending the rally not only guarantees a great day out but also supports these vital organisations.
