Figures released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) showed that 92% of businesses overall was trading in some capacity, but the accommodation and food providers were the worst hit according a report in The Irish Times.
63% of accommodation and food businesses have kept their doors shut, while construction also took a heavy hit, with almost 20% of businesses in the sector not trading by the end of June.

The CSO figures show that 61% of business who are trading had lower than normal levels of turnover in June.
Only 0.5% of businesses who have not resumed indicated that they had permanently ceased trading.
