Employees at a Cork hotel group are being encouraged to give back to good causes in their area with a paid charity day for all staff members.
Trigon Hotels announced the paid charity day to coincide with National Workplace Wellbeing Day which takes place this Friday, April 29th.
The hotel group has a wellness committee which meets every week to develop ideas, initiatives and arrange activities within its hotels.
Each year, Trigon employees choose charity and work on a volunteer basis to organise events and fundraise.
Cope Foundation is the hotel group's charity partner for this year.
Commenting on the paid charity day for employees, managing director, Aaron Mansworth, commented said health and wellbeing is extremely important at Trigon Hotels.
“We also want to make a difference in our local community. Giving back and volunteering is extremely rewarding and benefits everyone,” Mr Mansworth said.
“All of our time is precious especially when you are juggling family and other commitments which is why we want to make volunteering accessible to all of our team members.
“Your time is one of the greatest gifts that you can give and I hope that the paid charity day will encourage all our team members to get involved in a charity that’s close to their heart.”
