Ringsend will celebrate the numerous films, ads and music videos shot there over the years with a new plaque.
Daniel Day Lewis, John Voight and Eric Cantona are some of the famous faces that have turned up there in the past.
Colm Henehan, who owns Mellon's Shop where the plate is being installed on Friday afternoon, said: "Another great one we had was Eric Cantona when he just retired from football.
"The crowds here were amazing that day and everybody was looking for his autograph, and so he could barely get out of his car."
Some of the well known movies to be shot there include The General, which starred Brendan Gleeson and Jim Sheridan's In the Name of the Father, which starred Daniel Day Lewis.
The street was also used as a double for Belfast in the 2021 film of the same name.
Various music videos have also been shot on the street, with the likes of The Cranberries and Boyzone amongst the big stars to shoot there.
