Irish actors Nicola Coughlan, Colin Farrell and Andrew Scott been nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Coughlan is in contention for best female actor in a drama series for Bridgerton.
Farrell is up for best male actor in a limited TV series for his role in The Penguin, while Scott is nominated in the same category for his perfomance in the Netflix series Ripley.
The live nominations for the 31st annual awards, a bellwether for the Oscars, were due to be announced on Wednesday morning at a Netflix-streamed event hosted by actors Joey King and Cooper Koch.
However, the nominations were cancelled and instead unveiled in a press release and on the awards website due to the “wildfires and adverse wind conditions in Los Angeles”, a spokesperson said.
British star Ralph Fiennes led those nominated for best male actor in a leading role following his portrayal as a conflicted priest overseeing a papal election in Conclave.
He will compete against James Bond star Daniel Craig in Luca Guadagnino’s romance Queer – where he plays an American living in 1950s Mexico who falls in love with a young student.
The category includes Colman Domingo for Sing Sing, about a man imprisoned for a crime he did not commit who finds purpose by acting in a theatre group; Timothee Chalamet for his Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown; and Adrien Brody – who won the Golden Globe for his portrayal of a Hungarian architect attempting to build a life in the US after the Second World War in The Brutalist.
Meanwhile, Cynthia Erivo received a nomination for best actress in a leading role following her performance as Elphaba in the film adaptation of the hit Broadway and West End musical, Wicked.
Among those named in the same category was US actress Demi Moore, whose role in The Substance confronts the harsh reality of aging in Hollywood won her first Golden Globe award on Sunday.
Similarly, Emilia Perez star Karla Sofia Gascon, The Last Showgirl’s Pamela Anderson and Mikey Madison for Anora – a film about a young sex worker who marries the son of a Russian oligarch – received nominations.
Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey also scored a supporting role nomination for his role as Prince Fiyero in the Wizard Of Oz prequel Wicked; alongside Edward Norton for A Complete Unknown; Jeremy Strong for The Apprentice which follows the career of Donald Trump; Yura Borisov for Anora and Kieran Culkin for A Real Pain – about mismatched cousins who tour Poland in honour of their grandmother.
Wicked also scored a nod in the female supporting category for pop heavyweight Ariana Grande, who will face off against Zoe Saldana for her role in Emilia Perez – about a Mexican drug lord who changes gender – alongside The Last Showgirl’s Jamie Lee Curtis, Danielle Deadwyler for The Piano Lesson and Monica Barbaro in A Complete Unknown.
Scottish star Richard Gadd scored a nomination for his dark Netflix drama Baby Reindeer, which scooped best limited TV series at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
Baby Reindeer also won a best limited series actress nod for Yorkshire-born Jessica Gunning, days after she picked up best TV supporting actress for her role in the show as Martha Scott.

British stars also appeared in the category for best male actor in a drama series, with Gary Oldman recognised for Slow Horses and Eddie Redmayne for The Day Of The Jackal.
US actress and humanitarian Jane Fonda will be presented with the SAG life achievement award to add to her many accolades during the ceremony next month.
During her six-decade career, Fonda has won two Oscars: for Klute and Coming Home; alongside two Bafta Awards, an Emmy and seven Golden Globes.
The winners of the 13 awards in film and television will be revealed at the awards ceremony on February 23 at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall, following voting by actors union Sag-Aftra’s 130,000 members.
The SAG Awards will stream live globally on Netflix, with Nobody Wants This star Kristin Bell serving as host after previously compering the show in 2018.
