RTÉ has confirmed the 2 Johnnies' slot on 2FM will come to an end later this month.
'Drive It with The 2 Johnnies' is hosted by the Tipperary comedy duo – Johnny B and Johnny Smacks – Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm.
The 2 Johnnies, who also host their popular podcast, took over the drivetime slot in February 2022.
Confirming the news on Tuesday afternoon, head of RTÉ 2FM Dan Healy said: "After two very successful years, The 2 Johnnies are leaving 2FM."
The pair's last show with the station will be broadcast on Friday, May 31st.
"Johnny B and Johnny Smacks have brought their original South Tipp humour and interesting music choices to 2FM audiences right across Ireland.
"The listenership for the drivetime show has been very strong from the very start and the most recent listenership results continued that trend.
"They've been a great part of the 2FM family here, and we'll be sad to see them go but wish them well as they continue their adventures," Healy added.
Johnny B and Johnny Smacks both offered their thanks to the show's team and the listeners, describing the experience as "unreal craic".
"There’s great people working in 2FM, and we wish them all the success in the world.
"Who knows, we may be back on the radio someday, but for now, as we say on the show… We’re out the gap!" Johnny Smacks added.
The announcement comes two weeks after breakfast show host Doireann Garrihy confirmed she will depart the station after five years there, with her last day also coming on May 31st.
