An Post has said speculation is ongoing regarding the resumption date for ferry traffic through Holyhead.
The closure of the port in the wake of Storm Darragh has caused widespread disruptions, affecting supply chains, businesses, and consumers.
The Irish Exporters Assoication said any further delay could impact the availability of certain items in the run up to Christmas.
An Post confirmed on Friday that the last of the 150,000 UK parcels destined for An Post and affected by the port closure have been re-routed to other UK ports.
What should Irish customers do now?
An Post has said Irish customers that have ordered pre-Storm Darragh and have not yet received their parcel should expect it to arrive in the coming days.
However, An Post said customers should check in directly with the retailer.
If you are planning to order from UK retailers, check with them regarding their delivery dates for Ireland, as many of them have secured working routes into Ireland, though dispatch times from the UK may take longer than usual.
An Post advises customers to shop local with Irish e-tailers and buy Irish, adding that there will be nationwide parcel deliveries and all post offices will remain open on Saturday.
It advised to post parcels and cards as soon as possible.
