Sunday’s action in the Allianz National Football League has drawn to a close — we have the results below.

Mayo 2-22 Clare 2-18

Mayo have secured promotion back up to Division One of the league after beating Clare by four points in Ennis this afternoon.

The final score was 2-22 to 2-18, with Cillian O'Connor scoring 1-4 in the first-half before he was forced to leave the pitch injured.

Manager James Horan was pleased to come out on the right side of a tough contest ahead of the upcoming championship.

“We got a right test today from a very good team... areas flashed up there that we need to improve on,” he said.

“So I’m happy to be playing, to be honest, the games, with two weeks to championships.”

Kildare 1-14 Meath 0-14

Meanwhile in Newbridge, Kildare beat Meath 1-14 to 0-14 to go back up to the top tier.

Armagh 1-17 Roscommon 0-11

Elsewhere, Armagh beat Roscommon 1-17 to 0-11 in their Division One relegation play-off at home in the Athletic Grounds.

Galway 2-17 Monaghan 1-21

Galway and Monaghan were level in Clones and had gone to extra-time when a dramatic score from the last kick of the game won the relegation match for the home side.

Monaghan’s Jack McCarron was named Man of the Match after his point brought the final score to 1-21 for Monaghan against 2-17 for Galway.
