16 People Charged Following Anti-Immigration Protests In Dublin

Some 22 people have been arrested by gardaí in connection with anti-immigration protests on O'Connell Bridge on Thursday.

Of those arrested, 14 of them are men and eight are women, aged from their 20s to their 60s.

Sixteen of the 22 people arrested have been charged, primarily with Public Order Offences, along with charges of Assault, Criminal Damage, and Possession of a Knife.

One man has already been charged and has appeared before the courts. Three people are due to appear before Dublin District Court on Friday morning.

Thirteen others have been charged and released, with court appearances scheduled over the coming weeks.

The remaining individuals will be dealt with under the Adult Caution scheme, gardaí said.
