Action star falls for Dublin and its people
Action star Jackie Chan today took a break from shooting his new film in Dublin to talk of his love of Ireland - but not the weather.
Yesterday, he was hanging out of a sixth-floor window of the city’s Clarion Hotel for a scene in Highbinders, which co-stars comedian Lee Evans and Claire Forlani.
Chan said: "I have never been here before. The weather is a bit variable but there are great people, it is a great city."
Filming started at the end of July and will last one month. It will then move to Asia for more filming at the end of the year.
A spokeswoman for the film said: "Jackie Chan is a Hong Kong cop who uncovers an international slavery syndicate.
"Lee Evans, a bumbling detective, is also hot on the trail of this traffic in human misery."
They end up in Dublin on the trail of Snakehead, who is suspected of masterminding the illegal immigrant trade to Europe.
