The ISPCC's Childline listening service answered 723 contacts from children on Christmas Day and Night.
Issues raised included Covid restrictions, mental health difficulties, family tension, isolation and alcohol intake.
35 volunteers answered 615 phone calls, texts and online messages yesterday, with a further 108 last night into this morning.
The free service is available 24 hours a day to listen and support children across the country.
ISPCC chief executive John Church says the day got busier and busier into yesterday evening.
Mr Church said: “It was busy in the morning, but got busier in the afternoon, that's generally what happens. Thankfully a lot of children were quiet on Christmas morning, with Santa and all that stuff I suppose, but it gets very, very busy in the afternoon."
