Dublin, Kildare, Tipperary, Carlow and Limerick are currently the five counties with the highest 14-day incidence rates for Covid-19 in the Republic.
All five have rates higher than 50 cases per 100,000 people over the last two weeks, up until midnight on September 1st.

Daily confirmed cases have been edging up again since July – after falling significantly from their April peak – as lockdown restrictions imposed in March were eased.
On Thursday, the Government said there had been 95 newly-confirmed cases.
