A pedestrian has been seriously injured following a crash on the M8 in Cork.
The incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian southbound between junctions 11 and 12.

The injured man was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.
Gardaí, the National Ambulance Service and the Fire Service have all responded to the incident.
The road has been closed and diversions are in place.
