Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the N11 in Cabinteely on Thursday.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a car and e-bike on the N11 at the junction with Johnstown Road shortly before 5pm.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was seriously injured. He was conveyed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, where his condition is understood to be serious.

The scene is preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
