Derry Girls star Siobhán McSweeney has been announced as the host of The Traitors Ireland.
The show, which enthralled audiences around the world, will be on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player in 2025.
It will be shot on location in Ireland and is to feature contestants from all around the country after a national casting call for applications earlier this year.
Actor and presenter McSweeney said that she is a huge fan of Traitors.
"So when I was asked to host the Irish version I jumped at the chance. I’m looking forward to meeting our loyal Faithful and delicious Traitors. The Irish have a charm and ability to deceive while smiling which will make this version rather special, I think. And I’m the luckiest person in the world to watch them close up," she said.
Director of video at RTÉ, Steve Carson, said that the national broadcaster are "delighted" McSweeney will be at the heart of The Traitors Ireland.
"She is an incredibly talented actor with a great comic and dramatic range. We know that she is going to bring something really special to Ireland's version of this fantastic game of trust and deceit.”
The Traitors is a psychological reality competition which sees 22 strangers arrive at a remote castle to play 'the ultimate game of deception, betrayal and trust', in the hope of winning up to €50,000.
However, hidden amongst the strangers are the Trators, whose aim it is to attempt to secretly murder a player every night without getting caught.
It then falls on the others, 'the Faithfuls', to try to detect who the Traitors are and banish them from the game.
Each day, the group embark on missions and work together to add more money to the prize pot, and those who survive until the end have the chance of winning the cash, but if a Traitor remains undeteted, they will steal all the money.
The series will be produced for RTÉ by Kite Entertainment who have licensed the format from All3Media International.
The Traitors Ireland will air on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player in 2025.
