A number of people appeared before special court sittings in Letterkenny over the weekend charged with a range of offences, including drug-related charges, traffic violations, passing forged notes and public order incidents.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed: "Four males were arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for the purposes of sale and supply. They were interviewed and released pending analysis of the seized items and submission of a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions."
However, gardaí stressed the vast majority of those who attended the rally were law-abiding.
