Dublin Fire Brigade crews had fireworks directed at them and one of the windscreens on their fire engines smashed during Halloween call-outs.
They dealt with almost 1,000 calls yesterday on what was their busiest October 31st in a number of years.
Almost half of the requests for help were to do with fires, most of them Halloween related.

Dublin Fire Brigade’s chief fire officer John Guilfoyle told Newstalk: "Unfortunately, we had a number of events last night, but thankfully our crews didn’t experience any injuries.
“There was some damage to one or two of our fire appliances and so forth.
“There were fireworks directed at our fire appliances, and unfortunately a number of our ambulance crews also experienced anti-social behaviour.”
