Two males have been arrested in connection with the murder of a suspected gunman in a Christmas Eve shooting at a Dublin restaurant.
Tristan Sherry died at the scene of the incident at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown on December 24th.
Gunmen entered the restaurant and fired a number of shots, injuring Jason Hennessy Snr. He was treated in hospital but died on January 4th.
Sherry, one of the suspected gunmen, was fatally assaulted after the shooting.
Two murder investigations are under way after the incident.
The two males arrested in relation to Mr Sherry’s murder were detained at Garda stations in west Dublin under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
They are the eighth and ninth arrests made as part of the investigation.
