Gardaí have sealed off a wooded area at a public park in Dublin as part of their search for a missing Icelandic man.
Jon Jonsson, who was visiting Ireland for a poker tournament, left the Bonnington Hotel on the Swords Road on February 9th, 2019.
The 41-year-old was seen some time later walking past the entrance to Highfield Hospital.
In recent days, gardaí have carried out a search of Santry Demense with the help of an underwater unit and a search dog.
A full examination of the site will be carried out after the dog alerted gardaí to a particular area.
The area has been sealed off to allow gardaí to carry out a full examination.
In a statement, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “Operational searches remain ongoing, no further information is available at this time.”
