The Taoiseach will hold a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Tuesday.
The meeting at the Élysée Palace comes ahead of the appointment of a new European Commission and the term of the new European Parliament.
Simon Harris and Mr Macron will discuss issues on the EU Council agenda ahead of their autumn meetings.
The leaders will also raise bilateral matters, including education and tourism as well as maritime connections and energy co-operation.
They will also focus on international issues, including the latest efforts for a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza, as well as the EU’s continued support for Ukraine.
While in Paris, the Taoiseach will also host a reception for Team Ireland competitors of the Paralympic Games and tour the athletes’ village.
