A total of 480 admitted patients were waiting for beds on Wednesday morning, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).
According to the organisation's Trolley Watch, 358 of these were waiting in the emergency department, while 122 were in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
At University Hospital Limerick, 85 patients are waiting for beds. 43 of these are in the emergency department, with 42 in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
At Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin, five patients are waiting for a bed.
At University Hospital Galway, 65 patients are waiting for a bed and 28 are waiting at Cork University Hospital.
At both Sligo University Hospital and University Hospital Kerry, 25 patients are waiting for beds.
A total of 20 patients are waiting for beds in the emergency department of Beaumont Hospital, 25 are waiting at St Vincent's University Hospital, and 26 are waiting at Tallaght University Hospital.
