476 admitted patients were waiting for beds on Tuesday morning, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

The INMO's Trolley Watch showed 337 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 139 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

In Limerick, 93 admitted patients are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick. 46 of these are in the emergency department and 47 are in wards elsewhere.

At University Hospital Galway, 47 are waiting for beds, with 38 of these waiting in the emergency department and nine elsewhere.

33 are waiting for beds at St Vincent's University Hospital and 24 are waiting in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, all of which are in the emergency department.

29 patients are waiting at Letterkenny University Hospital, with 12 in the emergency department and 17 in wards elsewhere, while 28 patients wait at Cork University Hospital, all in the emergency department.

In Sligo, 26 patients are waiting for beds at Sligo University Hospital and, in Mayo, 25 are waiting for beds at Mayo University Hospital.
