The latest figures from the Irish Midwives and Nurses Organisation (INMO) show there is 599 people on trolleys in hospitals on Tuesday.
443 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 156 are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.

The hospital with the highest amount of patients without a bed is University Hospital Limerick, which has 108 patients on trolleys.
43 patients are in the emergency department, with 65 people elsewhere in the hospital.
University Hospital Galway has 49 people without a bed, with 39 people in the emergency department.
At Cork University Hospital, there is 43 people without a bed, with 35 people in the emergency department.
