INMO Trolley watch: 525 people waiting for beds in hospitals

Figures from the Irish Midwives and Nurses Organisation (INMO) show there is 525 people on trolleys in hospitals across the country.

387 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 138 are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.

In University Hospital Limerick, there are 116 people waiting for a bed. 53 people are in the emergency department, with 63 patients elsewhere in the hospital.

In St Vincent's University Hospital, there is 47 people waiting for a bed, with all the patients in the emergency department.

In Cork University Hospital, there is 45 people waiting for a bed, with 38 people in the emergency department.
