A post-mortem examination is due to take place on the body of a man that was discovered at a house in Co Westmeath yesterday evening.
As the Irish Examiner reports, it is understood a person of interest has been identified and is partaking in Garda inquiries.
The man’s remains were removed from the house located in Rattin, just a few kilometres away from Miltownpass, at around midday.
The man, aged in his 60s, was discovered shortly after 6pm yesterday.
The death is believed to be suspicious, however, Gardaí are still treating it as an "unexplained death" and are following a definite line of inquiry.
They say the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of their investigation.
