Passengers on public transport are reporting long delays at bus stops and train stations as new Covid-19 restrictions begin.
Buses, trains and trams are operating at 25 per cent capacity during Level 5 to allow those providing essential services to get to work.
There are reports of up to 30 people being left waiting at stops as buses cannot allow them to board.
Gardaí have also increased their visibility around the country as part of Operation Fanacht to deter people from making unnecessary journey's.

An Garda Síochána confirmed at any one time over the next six weeks, over 2,500 officers will be on duty, with 132 checkpoints in operation this morning.
Dublin Bus have advised passengers that the total capacity of their buses is now 17, with people being warned to give themselves plenty of time to make their journey in case of delays due to buses being full.

Bus Éireann are also tweeting updates as the buses become full to warn passengers who may be waiting for services.
Anyone who does not have an essential reason for travel is asked to stay at home, only leaving to exercise within five kilometres of their household.
