International filmmakers Walt Disney Studios have issued a major casting call for Irish talent for the planned sequel of Enchanted.
The sequel, titled Disenchanted, is due to start shooting in Ireland this spring or summer.
The casting call from Walt Disney Studios in Dublin has requested "technically trained dancers" for the update on the popular 2007 fantasy film.
The sequel is set to see Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey return to reprise their former roles as an animated princess transported to the real world and the cynical divorce lawyer she falls in love with.
It is a massive budget production, with Disney betting big on the follow-up 14 years after the original.
The casting call says: "We are looking for Irish technically trained dancers for an upcoming musical feature film to be shot in Ireland.
"Seeking dancers to play characters ranging from 18 years to 60 years - all ethnicities, shapes and sizes are welcome".
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are due to start on the new Disney film in March, pandemic restrictions allowing. The casting is being run by a well-known Irish movie and theatre choreographer.
Recent Walt Disney Studios hits included animated movie Soul produced with Pixar, and the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid with Halle Bailey and Javier Bardem.
The closing date for applications is Friday, February 5th and the ad is on jobsalert.ie.
