A man in his 80s has died in hospital from his injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Co Louth on St Stephen's Day.

The incident happened on the N1 at Plaster, at approximately 6.40pm.

The driver from one of these vehicles, a man in his 80s, passed away from his injuries earlier on Monday.

A man in his 60s and a male child received treatment at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda following the collision. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.

Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were traveling on the N1 on the 26th December between 6:15pm and 6.45pm, are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
