A man has been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in Co Limerick early on Sunday morning.
Gardaí are investigating after two people, believed to be armed with a knife, were reported to have entered a residential property and threatened the person living there at around 7am.
Cash and a number of items of property were taken from the residence.
Following enquiries, gardaí carried out a search of a residential property in the Mount Kenneth Place area of Limerick.
Officers arrested a man in his 20s in relation to the aggravated burglary, while €20,000 worth of suspected cannabis and drug paraphernalia were also seized in the course of the search.
The man was taken to Henry Street Garda station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
