A man who was arrested by gardai investigating alleged online threats against public representatives has been released without charge.
The man, in his 40s, was arrested for an alleged offence contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.

He was detained at a Garda station in the west of Ireland on Tuesday before being released without charge on Wednesday.
Gardai said a file will be prepared for the director of public prosecutions.
