A man in his 30s has been charged with a serious assault on a man in Dawson Street in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Friday morning.
He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, on Saturday at 10.30am.
The injured man who is in his 20s remains in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward.
Anyone who was in the vicinity of Dawson Street on Friday morning, between 1.30am and 2.00am, and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
