A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a stabbing incident in Dublin in which a 25-year-old man was killed.
On Tuesday evening, shortly after 7pm, officers attended the scene at Mac Uilliam Road, Tallaght where the 25-year-old had sustained serious injuries. The deceased was named locally as Ademola Giwa, a fitness coach and personal trainer.
He was taken to Tallaght University Hospital where he later died. A postmortem examination was due to be carried out on Wednesday.
A second man, aged in his 50s, was also injured during the incident and was taken to Tallaght University Hospital. According to Gardaí, he continues to receive treatment, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Gardaí arrested the man in Dundalk, Co Louth on Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.
He is currently being held at Tallaght Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
