A rainfall warning is in place for counties Wexford, Cork and Waterford until 6am on Sunday.
Spells of heavy rain are forecast, especially in coastal areas, with a risk of localised flooding.
The warning comes after flooding in parts of Co Cork overnight, with many road diversions still in place.
Meanwhile, there is a yellow thunder warning in place until 9pm on Saturday for Munster and counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Offaly, Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.
The forecaster said there is a risk of thunderstorms bringing heavy downpours, hail and localised flooding.
