Scattered showers will also affect the rest of the country, with some merging to longer spells of rain with the chance of thunderstorms and spot flooding.
Saturday will bring sunny spells, although there will be some showers in the north and west and these will extend to other areas through the afternoon and evening, Met Éireann said. Temperatures will peak between 13 and 17 degrees.
Further ahead, the weather will continue to be quite unsettled with rain or showers. It will feel cool for the time of year over the weekend, though temperatures will improve slightly in some parts for a time next week, according to Met Éireann.
