Met Éireann has issued a thunderstorm warning for the west coast.
The status-yellow alert will run from 3pm until 9pm on Wednesday in Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal.
The weather agency said there will be difficult travelling conditions and a risk of flooding in the affected areas.

Elsewhere, there will be a mix of cloud and sunny spells on Wednesday with scattered showers. Temperatures will reach 15 to 20 degrees with light to moderate easterly or variable breezes, according to Met Éireann.
It will become mostly dry on Wednesday night with clear spells and lowest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees.
Met Éireann said Thursday will be another day of sunny spells and scattered showers, heavy at times with some further thunderstorms developing. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees.
The outlook for Friday is more rain or showers initially before becoming drier for the weekend.
