Dublin city's new transport plan will get its first test of rush hour traffic on Monday morning.
Changes around the O'Connell Bridge area and the Quays came into effect on Sunday.
The transport plan is aimed to reduce traffic jams by restricting private car access on certain roads - and changing some routes with the hope of freeing up more space for public transport.
Only public transport, taxis and cyclists can go straight from Bachelor's Walk to Eden Quay and take the right turn to O'Connell Bridge.
General traffic must turn left at O'Connell Bridge.
At Eden Quay, the right turn from O'Connell Bridge will be changed to allow access for general traffic, with the likes of Custom House Quay and North Wall Quay remaining as they are.
On the South Quays, only public transport, taxis and cyclists can go straight from Burgh Quay to Aston Quay, with cars turning left onto D'Olier St or right onto O'Connell Bridge.
While private cars cannot turn left from Westmoreland Street onto Aston Quay either.
Also, the left turn from Westmoreland Street to Fleet Street will be for deliveries and access only.
Roads further along the South Quays, such as Wood Quay and Usher's Quay, remain as they are.
