Anyone from the Republic or Northern Ireland going to Norway for essential travel will have to quarantine for 10 days.
Norwegian authorities have also added Austria, Greece and the UK to the list.
The changes apply from midnight on Wednesday until August 22nd.
Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the change in policy was made because Ireland's 14-day incidence rate for the disease now stands at over 23 cases per 100,000 people.

It comes after a marked increase in Covid-19 cases in the Republic, with an average of 96 new cases reported daily over the past five days.
