Leaving Cert students can decide from today what form they want their exams to take in the summer.
The self-service portal opens at 12pm, with students asked to indicate whether they wish to sit the exam, take calculated grades, or a mix of both.
Students have six days to decide in this window, but registration but will open again around the end of April, where they will be asked to confirm their choices.
Cork principle Sean Twomey says picking calculated grades now means the exam won't be an option when they get to choose again in April.
He says students should keep their options open.
Mr Twomey said: “Particularly if you're not sure, [Leaving Cert] candidates are just back to school, and it's going to take them a while to get up to speed with their teachers. The other important thing to know is we won't know exactly what changes are made to the Leaving Cert exams until the end of March, at that stage they're also in a position to make a more informed decision.”
