The Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Revenue officers have seized 13 puppies, alcohol and thousands of euro in cash in three separate operations.

The Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Revenue officers have seized 13 puppies, alcohol and thousands of euro in cash in three separate operations.

An operation at Dublin Port over the weekend saw 13 puppies of various breeds seized in four seperate raids. Officers said they were all in being transported to the UK without the proper documentation or vaccination records.

Last Wednesday, Revenue officers from Dublin Port seized alcohol from a restaurant on the southide of Dublin city centre, which was trading without a liquor licence.

Officers removed beer, wine and spirits with an estimated value of more than €7,500.

Revenue officers at Rosslare Port seized €9,400 in cash on Tuesday, December 6, when they stopped and questioned two Romanian Nationals as they prepared to board the late evening ferry to Cherbourg in France.

The believe the cash is the proceeds of, or was to be used in, criminal activity.
