Fans have taken to social media network X, formerly Twitter, to express their disappointment following the release of Sabrina Carpenter's Short 'n Sweet tour tickets on Ticketmaster.
Carpenter is performing two nights at Dublin's 3Arena on March 3rd and 4th 2025.
Artist presale for the concert began on July 23rd for anyone who pre-ordered her album, while the venue presale opened at July 24th and 10am and concert promoter MCD's presale started at 10am on July 25th.
The 3Arena has a capacity of around 13,000 people, and some fans posted on X to say that there were over 10,000 people ahead of them in a Ticketmaster queue for presale.
This morning, there were over 39,000 in the queue for tickets on general sale, while the tickets for both nights sold out in mere minutes.
One fan said, "That Sabrina carpenter sale for Dublin was a sick and twisted JOKE," while another said "Bots are a joke because I was in the waiting room for Dublin from 9:45am, joined the queue the second it turned 10 and somehow I was still 30,000 in the queue??? Make it make sense pls."
Other fans posted about how they had logged into all previous presales, and to the general sales for both nights, and still did not manage to secure tickets.
"18k ahead of me in the queue for Sabrina carpenter Dublin…. 13k capacity," one said, "such b******t how the first show says demand is extremely limited because of the presale - maybe don’t open the presale up to so many people then?? I was 15k in the presales."
Another said, "i swear if i see any silly companies gifting random influencers sabrina carpenter tickets for dublin im going to go mad put them in a ticketmaster queue every morning from tuesday-friday to be left disappointed each day".
Tickets for the VIP packages costed €138 and €250 not including ticket cost or fees, while standing tickets cost around €97 with fees.
As a result, those wishing to get VIP tickets forked out over €300 per ticket.
Got so excited when I saw two standing tickets for Sabrina Carpenter in the presale and then I saw the price 😍 for the 3 arena??? Okay #SabrinaCarpenter #3arena #mcd pic.twitter.com/4suiO8zHSv

Another fan said that they were offered tickets for the concert for €241 during the sale, comparing it to what they paid to see Taylor Swift at the Aviva Stadium in June.
€206 for standing at Taylor Swift in the Aviva stadium vs €241 for standing at Sabrina Carpenter in the 3arena is just madness. Even from a show length pov Sabrina couldn’t play 3.5 hours if she wanted to https://t.co/2xF8UwOs2x

"I love Sabrina Carpenter but I love €250 more," the fan said in a further post.
