The Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin was closed for a period this morning when a fire broke out in a truck as it crossed it.
Dublin Fire Brigade responded to the blaze and used high pressure hose reels alongside breathing apparatus to fight the fire and extinguish it.

Although there were lane closures northbound and southbound on the bridge, causing significant traffic delays in the city, both lanes have now fully reopened.
The fire broke out in the cab of a lorry on the northbound lane of the bridge that crosses the Liffey in the docklands area of the city and is a busy route from Macken Street to the north quays.
The bridge reopened to traffic at about 9am. The burnt lorry remained in the right-hand lane of the northbound carriageway on the bridge.
In a statement, An Garda Síochána said that they, alongside emergency services, "attended the scene of a fire that took place on the Samuel Beckett Bridge, Dublin City this morning at approximately 8am."
No injuries were reported.
