A number of security alerts in Cork city prompted areas to be cordoned off on Friday morning.
Gardaí confirmed alerts had been made at various locations in the city.

The Irish Examiner reports a number of calls were made to a local radio station and the Fire Brigade claiming bombs had been placed at a number of buildings in the city, including the courthouse on Washington Street and Mercy University Hospital.
Gardaí attended the scene and Cork City Fire Brigade deployed units to the area, with several streets being closed off while the matter was assessed.
Gardaí confirmed: "Following further enquiries An Garda Síochána is satisfied that all of the alerts have been deemed as hoax and the areas have been declared safe."
