Gardaí in Crumlin have arrested one man following a stabbing incident in Ballymount, Dublin 12 on Wednesday evening.
At approximately 9pm, gardaí were alerted to an assault at an industrial estate in Ballymount. A man (aged in his 20s) received a stab wound during the course of an altercation with a second man.
The injured man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
A man, aged in his late teens, was arrested at the scene of the incident and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in Dublin.
A weapon which is understood to have been used during the course of the incident was seized by gardaí for a technical examination.
Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
