There were a total of 490 patients waiting for a bed at Irish hospitals on Thursday morning.
The INMO (Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation) Trolleywatch figures show 357 patients were waiting in emergency departments, while 133 were in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

There were a total of 120 patients waiting for beds based at University Hospital Limerick, 55 at University Hospital Galway, and 53 at Cork University Hospital.
