There are 600 admitted patients waiting for beds on Wednesday morning, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation's (INMO) Trolley Watch.
There are 417 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 183 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

The most overcrowded hospital is University Hospital Limerick with 80 people without beds closely followed by Cork University Hospital with 78 people on trolleys.
After that is University Hospital Galway with 61 people on trolleys and St Vincent's University Hospital with 41 people without beds.
