Two ads relating to Covid-19 have been found to be misleading by the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland.
One complaint relates to an ad from Alpha CC which implied a cleaning product created a 72-hour barrier on surfaces that would protect against Covid-19.

Two complaints were lodged in relation to Grangeville Hearing, with one saying the advertising was misleading as it claimed lab tests have shown liquorice to be an effective treatment against the virus.
Another says the advertising was misleading as it claimed 5G was a factor in serious cases of Covid-19.
The authority also upheld a complaint against Kia Motors where a customer claimed the car they bought was a different shade to that advertised in the brochure.
